Create or edit a layer type

Note: you can create layer types if you have permissions to access the EdAdmin4 and if you have at least the Change In permission on the parent config scope.

To create a new layer type

1.Run EdAdmin4, and then in the Editorial Objects section, click Layer types.

2.On the Action menu, click New.

3.On the New Layer type dialog box, in Name, enter an unique name for the new layer type.

4.In Description, enter an optional description of the new layer type.

5.In Scope, select Default.

To edit an existing layer type

1.Run EdAdmin4, and then in the Editorial Objects section, click Layer types.

2.Double-click the layer type to edit.

3.On the Edit Layer type dialog box, in Name, enter an unique name for the layer type.

4.In Description, enter an optional description of the layer type.

5.In Scope, select the scope.

Permissions on layer types are inherited from the parent Config scope.
