From the portal/gn4/int interface open the Back4 tab, click on “Data Sources” and create a “New File data source”. Assign a meaningful name, select the “Beacon” template, the correct Server and finally click the plus icon to add the parameter adParams. In the Value of adParams paste the parameters copied from Fred

Remember to set an Input folder in the Details tab.
Press “Next” to complete the operation and save the data source.

To use it simply drop an XML Beacon file into the input folder path.

It might take up to few minutes to process the file and create the edition. It depends from the edition’s complexity and from the number of pages.

The messages about the process can be logged into different places. Check the Logging tab of the Beacon dataSourceTemplale to see what will be logged and where.
