Before you can measure the editorial hole, you need to populate the ads layer.

Get the object's position and dimensions: in this case the original Y-position is 468.394pt, the width is over full page (751.181pt) and the height is 481.89pt.

Create the ad placeholder

1.Display the Layers palette, and then double-click the Ads layer. If it is marked as <free>, double-click the label to check it out. If it is marked as locked, double-click the label to unlock the layer.

2.Press I and then drag the picture placeholder over 6 columns.
