When you copy and paste an entire logical group, the pasted elements all belong to a new logical group. When you copy and paste a part of a logical group, the pasted elements all belong to the existing logical group. |
When you copy and paste an entire logical group or any if its members, you are prompted for the name of the new pasted objects. The default is that the new objects will belong to the original logical group. That make sense when you copy parts of a logical group, but not if you duplicate an entire logical group. For example, we copied the top article layout, and pasted it below. Now, the prompt appears asking you what to do. In such case, click No, and the new logical group is created for the pasted objects. Notes •When you copy and paste objects not belonging to any logical group, the prompt does not appear. •When you copy and paste objects belonging to more logical groups, if when prompted you click No, the pasted objects will all belong to one new logical group. To make the parts of the pasted objects an independent logical group, select its shapes, right-click, point to Logical Groups, and then select Set Auto Name or Set Name. For more information, see Set the name of the logical group (any selected objects). •The feature is available only in the version 2.1 and newer, and only if you did not disable manual logical groups. |
