Set the name of the logical group (any selected objects)

Build 1501 on 14/Nov/2017  This topic last edited on: 17/Mar/2016, at 16:50

At any time, you can select an arbitrary set of objects, and then name them as a custom drawn object.

To set the name of the logical group, select some objects, and then on the Tools menu, or by right-clicking the selected object(s), point to Logical Groups and then select Set Name.

The confirmation box is displayed (in case that the selection belongs to a custom logical group):

lg_06a

or, in case that the selection belongs to a library object:

lg_06b

Press Yes to set the new name, or No to abort the change.

Note

The name is composed of your user ID, prefixed by # and the creation date and time, prefixed by an underscore, e.g. #1992_19/09/2014 14:52:14.

Such naming convention ensures the uniqueness of the names.

The feature is available only in the version 2.1 and newer, and only if you did not disable manual logical groups.
