Workstates provide tracking of status of content stored in folders, such as articles, images, multimedia, etc, and of paper-published content, such as editions and pages or external documents.
During system configuring, you associate workstates to folders. In production, as soon as a content is dropped in a folder, it automatically attain the same workstate. For editions, pages and external documents, as they do not reside in folders, the assignment is manual or by scripting.
Workstates are server wide, therefore, equal for all the titles on the same editorial server. If there are more titles on the same server, it is necessary to agree the common usage of workstate.
