Editions and deadlines

The edition deadline is a combination of edition date and deadline hour.

By default, the deadline hour is the midnight of the edition date. For example, if your edition date is 13-Feb-2016, it's default deadline is 00:00 at 13-Feb-2016.

You can move the edition deadline to any positive hour, e.g. 03:20, or 17:15.

Edition deadline for morning papers

Typically, a morning paper is prepared today for tomorrow and printed during the night, typically after midnight. You set the edition date to tomorrow, and the deadline to, for example, 03:30.

The problem may arise if your deadline has to be before midnight. Let's assume your first page has to be closed at 22:45 of the preparation day. As it is not possible to specify a negative number in deadline hour, leave it on the midnight, and specify the first page deadline as -1:15.

Edition deadline for afternoon papers

Typically, an afternoon paper is prepared on the same day when it is printed. You set the edition date to today, and the deadline to, for example, 03:30.
