To assign credentials to groups or users

1.Run EdAdmin4 and then, under Security, click Users and groups. This shows the Security Management listing.

2.Select a user or group, and then on the Action menu, click Edit.

3.Click the Credentials tab.

Click to toggle graphic size

4.Click the ico_additems button to add a new row to the Credentials table.

5.In URL, enter the URL for which you want to set the credentials to.

6.Click the Authorization type, and then select from the list the appropriate authorization mode: Anonymous, Basic, Digest, Integrated Windows, Negotiate, None, NTLM.

7.In User name, enter the user name to log on to the specified URL.

8.In Password, enter the password.

9.Click OK when done.

Note

You can assign to a GN4 group or user a set of optional credentials. Such parameters handle automated actions where credentials are required, such as copying content to a FTP site etc.

When assigned to a group, credentials apply to all members of that group, unless a member has a different attribute value set.
