Aligning and Spreading Objects

You can align or distribute selected objects along the axis you specify (horizontal or vertical). To use alignment, you have to select at least two objects. The first selected object is the "referent" object, and other objects are aligned to it. To use distribution, you have to select at least three objects.

Even if you selected only one object, you can align it to page or spread margins, or to grid.

You can use only the object edges, not the anchor points as the reference point. In addition, you can distribute the space between objects evenly, both horizontally and vertically.
