The Added Objects sub-tab on the Extra tab of the preferences dialog box on the Pages main tab in Fred4 contains additional preferences related to image captions and added objects. All the preferences are personal (per-user) setting.

Preference	Description
Add automatically when creating.. Height, Distance, Format name, Fields	This is explained in Enable and configure the auto-caption frame.
When adding objects to ... Height, Distance, V. Rule distance	Enter the appropriate values.
Auto-align vertically, Distance	Tick, to enable the auto-align of objects and enter desired vertical gap.
Auto-assign format	Tick to enable the auto-apply of a custom format when creating frames.
