To start tracking an edition, you have to create a new tracking layout and load related pages.

Note: only the users who have the "write ref" permission enabled for the current title, can create tracking layouts.

The properties of a new tracking are copied from the default settings, so you may want to read the Configuring layout options chapter, to set options before creating your first tracking.

Note: If you load an existing tracking, and it is unexpectedly empty, it may be that the related edition was purged, but the tracking layout was not purged itself.
