You can move, scale and reshape text frames in Fred4.

The tool you use to select a text frame determines the kind of changes you can make.

Use the normal tool 182_cursor_16 to position and size frame

Use the polygon tool 15_polygon_16 to alter the shape of the frame

Double-click a frame to edit text.

About frames threading

You can link frames to a text, and also link them together, allowing the text in one frame to continue in another frame, on the same, or on another layer/page.

Frames that are connected in this way are threaded.

Text that flows through one or more threaded frames is called a linked article text element.

You cannot thread unlinked frames but you can group them together in a logical group.

About frames type

Text frame requires a type, which determines its scope (for headline, for body, for caption etc) and the set of the available formats.

About frames dimensions

Frames dimensions can be based on, yet independent of, page columns.
