About regions

The purpose of regions is to enable you to manage the regionalized text, geometry and typographical formatting.

For example, you may have the same source text, which is published over 5 columns with a big headline and long body in one region, but with 3-column headline and a shorter body in another region. Therefore, the content, styles and text length may vary by regions.

A default installation of GN4 comes with two regions: Print and Web.

You can add more regions, but it is recommended not to remove or rename regions Print and Web.

Please note that the Print region needs to have at least one zone assigned (see more in Create a new region).
