Only one user at a time may perform the APM actions on the given edition. More users can revise and edit the autopaginated content at once, as long every user edits a separate article element. More users can paginate more editions at the same time.

About edition check-out

While the automated page make-up of a given edition is in progress, no one may edit or check-out the edition on the Edition main tab, i.e. add, remove, renumber pages, reimport ads etc. and opposite. The edition gets automatically checked-out and locked by the user who is running the APM.

If you attempt to start APM while an edition is checked out on the Edition main tab, you will get a warning that contains the name of the user who checked-out the edition:

The check-out of an edition is performed on the start of auto-pagination (after you click OK in the APM run dialog box), and the edition check-in is performed on the completion.
