When dealing with articles, it is highly recommended to display and use the Article palette in Fred4. It shows the article structure.

To open the Article palette, on the Window menu, point to Palettes, and then click Article.

Remove an article element

Right-click an unlinked article element on the tree, and then click Remove from article.
