What happens on format changes

GNML format defaults are changed

On the next justification of stories linked to the format, the unformatted parts of the text are reformatted. All the styles & tags which do not contain explicit tags for an attribute which is part of defaults, may be affected by the change.

A style library is linked to a format

Its styles and tags become available to all the text to which the format is linked

A style library is unlinked from a format

On the next justification of text which contains links to the format, and any of embedded tags belonging to  was embedded, a justification error is produced and text cannot be printed unless tag is renamed to the new name

A linked style library is renamed

The format links are updated

A tag/style is added to any linked library

It becomes available to all the text to which the format is linked

A tag/style is modified in any linked library

On the next justification of text linked to the format, whose modified tags are embedded into text, the text is reformatted. If the number or the order of tag parameters was changed too. a justification error is produced.

A tag/style is renamed or removed in any linked library

On the next justification of text linked to the format, whose renamed or removed tags were embedded, a justification error is produced.

A referent tag/style is modified

On the next justification of text linked to the format, it is reformatted.

A referent tag/style is renamed

On the next justification of text linked to the format, whose tags which use referent tag were embedded, a justification error is produced.

A built-in tag behaviour changed

On the next justification of text linked to the format, it is reformatted.
