Cross-application reformatting feature is available in the GN4 Publishing System and it allows a page designer to change the styles of any text linked to a specific page, even if the text is opened for editing by any editor or writer.

The cross-application reformatting is suitable for newspapers which logically relate the headline size to the text position in the page, in such a way the more important stories (placed in the best page area) have bigger headlines.

If a page area, which has been assigned to an important text, should now be assigned to a different text, the old text will be moved to a less important position. in this case you may want to restyle it, by reducing automatically the headline size. This may be done by page designers, even if the text is still being edited on any editor's workstation.
