Troubleshooting images on the Articles main tab

PROBLEM

SOLUTION

Images are not displayed in the source pane on the Articles main tab.

This is by design. Use the WYSIWYG pane to review images.

Images in the WYSIWYG pane or on page are displayed as crossed boxes.

On the Pages main tab, the preference is under Edit > Preferences > Display > Draw Images. On the Articles main tab, the preference is under Edit > Preferences > WYSIWYG > Display > Show images.

One or more images in an article are displayed on the WYSIWYG pane in separate zones, and not together with text.

Only the images that are linked to a page are displayed on the WYSIWYG pane together with text.

If you are sure that a image is linked, but is still not displayed with text, ensure that:

1.A page with the linked article is saved in Fred4.

2.The geometry is refreshed in Ted4.

3.On the Edit menu, click Preferences, select the WYSIWYG tab and then under Display, select Dispose as on page.

Images of very different size are difficult to review in the WYSIWYG pane of the Articles main tab, being either too small, or too large

On the Articles main tab, under Edit > Preferences > WYSIWYG > Display > Image size, enter similar values in Min and Max. This will "normalize" the display size of all images to specified values.

Images of very different size look of the same size in the WYSIWYG pane.

On the Articles main tab, under Edit > Preferences > WYSIWYG > Display > Image size, enter suitable values in Min (e.g. 10pt) and Max (e.g. 1000pt).
