This applies on the Web preview on the Articles main tab.

The Web preview on the Articles main tab may update automatically while you write, but sometimes you may want to turn it off.

To turn on or off the auto-update of the Web preview

1.On the Edit menu of the Articles main tab, click Preferences.

2.On the WYSIWYG tab, select or clear Auto-update Web Preview.

This does not apply on the Web preview on the Publishing main tab, or elsewhere.
