Problem

In your text there is a character that is not "defined" in the current font.

Causes

1.You imported a text and the conversion table didn't filter out all control characters.

2.You applied a symbol font such as Dingbats on a normal text, that contain characters undefined in the symbol font layout.

3.The font was imported in GN4 with an inappropriate layout, so the character is undefined although it should be defined.

4.The character is missing from the font layout.

You can tell which character is causing trouble because its ordinal number is displayed after the character #.

Solutions

1.Remove the character from the text, and then also fix the conversion table so the problem won't repeat.

2.Apply a font, appropriate for text.

3.Reimport the font with the appropriate layout.

4.Modify the font layout and define the character, and then reimport all fonts that were imported using that layout.
