When using measurement units different than millipoints to define tag values, expect a slight rounding error to occur, during internal recalculating from the selected unit to the millipoint.
Such error is typically imperceptible on the final product, and generally in the range of few 1/1000 of point, when using "pt" unit, and about 0.01% when using other units, e.g. mm.
Note: use of big points (See Selecting a point value) sometimes may cause additional variations, e.g. you insert 48pt for the leading in a palette, and the result in the text is >ld 47.998pt<. This is also due to the rounding error.
