Toggle lock to the baseline grid by the menu command

1.Click the chosen paragraph at any position, or select more paragraphs.
2.On the Type menu, point to Paragraph, and then click the Toggle lock to grid.

Toggle lock to the baseline grid by the Paragraph palette

1.Display the Paragraph palette.

2.On the Vertical justification tab, enter 0 in the Grid alignment boxes (Offset and Value).

Notes

This affects only texts flowing in a linked or local geometry. It does nothing on texts without any geometry.

You can find out in the Paragraph whether the lock to the baseline grid was activated, and with which values (offset is the vertical offset of the top of the column, and value is the amount of the baseline grid. Typically, both values have to be the same, and equal to the text leading.
