Exporting tags to file

The simplest and the fastest way to get TED text as an ASCII file with the tags, is following:

1.Enable local auto-save (Edit > Preferences, Autosave > Enabled, Local save enabled).
2.Load a text you want to "export".
3.Change temporarily anything (such as to add a character and to delete it immediately).
4.Save text.

At this point, in the personal temporary directory %TEMP% appears a file with a strange random name, such as 1.$fb or something similar (anyhow, it will be the newest file in the directory, so if you sort by "Modified date", newest on top; if you save more than once, don't forget to press the F5 key to refresh the directory!), it will be the first file.

If you open it in Notepad you'll see that the file is actually a local copy of the text, with all the tags inside.

Note

To open your temporary directory, click Start and then enter %TEMP%.
