Select the text containing the overrides. You can even select multiple paragraphs with different styles.

On the Type menu, point to Paragraph, and then do any of the following:

•To remove paragraph and character overrides and character style formatting, select Clear All Overrides and Character Styles.

•To remove paragraph-level overrides but preserve character-level overrides and character styles, select Clear Paragraph Style Overrides.

To remove character overrides but preserve paragraph formatting overrides in selection:

•Select the character containing the overrides. On the Type menu, point to Character, and then select Clear Character Overrides in Selection.

To remove character overrides but preserve paragraph formatting overrides in paragraph:

•On the Type menu, point to Character, and then select Clear Character Overrides in Paragraph.

Note: When you clear overrides, paragraph-level overrides are removed from the entire paragraph, even if only part of the paragraph is selected. Character-level overrides are removed only from the selection.
