Checking scheduled tasks

Applies to	All servers with scheduled tasks
Frequency	Daily, before the production starts
Tool	•For SQL scheduled tasks, use SQL Management Studio. •For tasks, scheduled by Task Scheduler, use Control Panel/Task Scheduler
Where	•For SQL scheduled tasks, Start > Programs> SQL Server Management Studio -Microsoft SQL servers > your server > Management > SQL Server Logs: •For tasks, scheduled by Task Scheduler, Start-Settings-Control Panel-Task Scheduler
Time required	15 minutes x server
Description	Check the job last run status, and job history.

Notes

•A variety of reasons (insufficient disk space, removal of required applications, passwords changes, etc.) may cause a scheduled job to fail. The only way to ensure that jobs actually run is to check them one by one.
