You may want to enable the automatic resizing of a non-body frame on a format change. The other elements of the same article layout are shifted down, keeping the total area height, if the Keep total height when scaling headline height is ticked, or changing it, if the Keep total height when scaling headline height is not ticked.

The default value is off.

On the Split subtab of the Extra tab on the Preferences dialog box, tick Size Frame on Format Change.
