SELECT ENTIRE OBJECTS
By dragging
With the normal tool drag around all corners of all objects to select. Hold SHIFT to add more to the current selection.
By clicking
•Click with the normal tool to select a single object (a previous selection, if any, is canceled).
•Hold SHIFT while clicking to select more objects.
•Hold CTRL to select underlying objects (click the foreground object as many times as need to reach the underlying object).
By menu
On the Edit menu, point to Select, and then click what you want.
By keyboard
•To select all objects, press CTRL+A.
•To deselect all, press Z.
•To select all elements of an article, click any element and then press SHIFT+A.

•With the polygon tool drag around some corners of all objects.
•Hold SHIFT to add more to the current selection.
Note
You cannot select object across layers, but only on the current layer.
