The Results zone appears on the Users Navigator below the search criteria zone. You cannot collapse the results zone.

It contains the found users, displayed as list, with a name, and assigned tasks. Note: in versions prior to 2.3, the displayed name was a login name, while in 2.3 or newer it is a full name.
