Required knowledge to configure GN4

This is a short overview of required knowledge to configure GN4 system:

Understanding XML syntax and being able to read and edit files in XML format.

Understanding XAML syntax and structure and being able to read and modify GN4 configuration files in XAML format.

Understanding basics of the XML syntax of GN4 workflows, and being able to read them, modify, and load in datababase.

Understanding basics of the XSL syntax, and being able to read and modify XSL files.

Understanding basics of REST and POST interfaces, and being able to execute such commands in browser.

Understanding VB.Net and being able to use Visual Studio Express to load GN4 scripts solutions, to compile them and to deploy add-ins in form of DLL files, or to load them in database.

Understanding basics of VB.Net programming and being able to make copy of system scripts in custom add-ins, modifiy them, and compile.

Understand basics of debugging, and being able to use VB.Net debugger.

Understanding concepts of system and applications diagnostics and being able to perform troubleshooting steps.

Understanding concepts of GN4 command-line utilities, and being able to use them to import and export data in XML format.

Being able to create session logs with Web debuggers, such as Fiddler.

Understanding basic concepts of typography and being able to review, create and edit GNML tags and styles.

Understanding basics of fonts and being able to install them - and/or read and modify kerning tables.

Understanding basics of printing, and being able to create and modify print presets.

Understanding basics of Web publishing and being able to create and modify HTML templates, and HTML tags.
