Paragraph Vertical Justification palette (V.Just)

Use the Paragraph Vertical Justification palette (short: V.Just) to identify or change the following properties of the current paragraph or all the highlighted paragraphs:

Vertical just. 1st line

Stretching: Incrementing paragraphs spacing rate, i.e. the value that may be added to the value, entered in Space before (on the General tab) for copyfitting.

Shrinking: Decrementing paragraphs spacing rate, i.e. the value that may be subtracted from the value, entered in Space before (on the General tab) for copyfitting.

Vertical just. paragraph

Stretching: Incrementing line spacing rate, i.e. the value that may be added to the value, entered in Leading (on the General tab) for copyfitting.

Shrinking: Decrementing line spacing rate, i.e. the value that may be subtracted from the value, entered in Leading (on the General tab) for copyfitting.

Grid alignment

Offset: Baseline distance from the top of the column, i.e. the point where the grid starts. Recommended value: equal to leading.

Value: Grid step. Must be equal to the leading.

Leading at column top

Active: Enable shift of the first paragraph in a column. Recommended: untick.

Value: SHIFT of the first paragraph in a column. Applied only if Active is selected.
