Link an article to an object with auto-tool

When you put on a page in Fred4 a library object with auto-tool, it prompts you to create or select an article to link to the object. In that case, select a folder, and then double-click the article you want to link to the object. Alternatively, if you know the exact name of the article you want to link, just type it and press 8.

Notes

If the Confirm selection of articles option in Fred4 preferences is enabled, on selecting an existing article or text, the user is prompted to confirm this selection by the message Select the existing article <name>. The purpose of the warning is to prevent the unwanted linking of the articles, if you typed the name, and you are not aware that such article already exists.

If the article you selected to be linked to the current object has a local geometry and/or assigned format, these are automatically discarded and replaced by a format and geometry of the library object.
