The Back4 service executable file is in the GN4\bin directory. It must be installed using the InstallUtil.exe tool that is part of the .NET framework.

To install Back4

Note: this assumes that Back4.Exe is stored in c:\Program Files\Tera\GN4\bin. If not so, adjust the below path accordingly.

Execute this line from the command prompt in c:\Program Files\Tera\GN4\bin:

on 64-bit systems:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil.exe back4.exe

on 32-bit systems:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil.exe back4.exe

You will be prompted for the name of the Windows user that the Back4 service should use to log on. Enter the user name and password of a user with sufficient administrative privileges.
