The APM has a dedicated method to review the given editorial hole on a page.

To review the editorial hole

On a page with the editorial hole, on the Auto-paginate menu, select Show Page Free Space, and then select the appropriate option.

Fred will fill the empty space with a colored box or frames, depending on the chosen option.
