It is not necessary to specify the complete "text path" of the menu command in the Name attribute of the string to import, just specify the menu command text. So commands of different <menu> of the PortalConfig are always translated in the same way, without adding new strings.

Previous version:

<StringDesc Language="it" Scope="Menu" Name="home.New.Story" Value="Storia" />

Last version:

<StringDesc Language="it" Scope="Menu" Name="Story" Value="Storia" />

Please re-import ..\Config\Strings\TeraStrings.it.xml if you are using it.

In client applications

These are stored in various *_TABITEMS.XML files. The process of localizing is the same as the process of customizing. Create a folder and then copy those files without renaming them, and then translate using any XML editor. For further information, see Configuring Menus.
