Events, tasks, calendars, user calendars (rotas), budgets, contacts and copy flow are used in GN4 to organize a newsroom work.

An event is an information about something that's about to happen on a specified date. You can enter it manually, or receive by wire or readers who can feed it on GN Web. Events are stored in calendars, from where they inherit workstate. You can generate a task from an event. Tasks are also stored in calendars. The calendar structure is similar to the folders structure, but it is independent. You can assign a task to an user, and you can assign products (articles, images) and/or contacts to a task. You can group tasks in a budget, that refers to a publication.
