Install Exalead One Enterprise 4.6

Build 1501 on 14/Nov/2017  This topic last edited on: 21/Mar/2016, at 18:52

DO NOT USE THIS FOR NEW INSTALLATIONS - USE CloudView VERSION!

Request the license file to support@teradp.com and place it e.g. in root disk C:

Download exalead-one-enterprise.amd64-win64.4.6.0.398.exe from the tech web site and start the installation.

Copy the exalead configuration file logic.xml locally, e.g. in root of disk C: (Note: you can download the file from LOGIC.ZIP on the Tera FTP server). Make sure it is not read-only, if so, unlock it. THIS IS IMPORTANT! Also, make sure the Services applet is closed - installation will fail if it's open!

Now double-click the installer and wait for the wizard to appear. Click Next.

On License Agreement, accept the license agreement and click Next.

On Customer Information, enter the user name and organization name, and click Next.

On Indexing User Account, if the indexes will be on the same computer, accept Local system account, otherwise enter the appropriate domain credentials. Click Next.

On Network port base, accept the default value, or change it if it's already busy on your network. Click Next.

On Destination folder, accept the default value, or change it if you want to install Exalead on different path. Click Next.

On Database folder, accept the default value, or change it if you want to install Exalead database on different path. Click Next.

On Setup type, select Complete.

Click Install, and wait until Web interface appears.

On Registration, select Use existing license file. Click Next.

On Use existing license file, enter the path to the license file. Click Next and wait for the summary screen to appear. Click Next.

On Configuration, select Standard. Click Next.

On Configuration, Login, enter the designated password for the user 'admin' (you cannot change the user name, it's predefined)

On Configuration, SMTP Server configuration, enter the designated SMTP server for alarms reporting, documents forwarding in the search interface, user alerts. This is optional.

On Configuration, Enable thumbnails module, click Next. There's no need to enable thumbnails module.

On Product install, click Next.

When prompted, enter the admin password you've entered in step 15, to enter in the management module.

In Windows services, stop the exalead:one:enterprise service

Assuming you've installed Exalead in the path specified in step 9, go to that path (default=C:\Exalead Enterprise\Data and select the config subfolder).

Replace the existing logic.xml with the Tera supplied one, you copied in step 2. Check again if it not read-only.

Restart the exalead:one:enterprise service.
