GNXcapture is an editorial tool for journalists and editors. GNXcapture extends the newsroom out to the world of roaming mobile users without sacrificing their ability to access their GN4 Editorial system or interact with other users.
With GNXcapture, users will be able to either create stories, containing combinations of text, images, video and audio, directly into the GN4 Content Management system or upload externally created content and release it into the GN4 system's workflow, complete with metadata, content tags and header information.
Download the GNXcapture User Guide for full details on the application's functionality.
GNXcapture is a free download but will only work when connected to a licensed GN4 Editorial System. For more information, contact our support team.
The latest version of GNXcapture is 1.3 and it is available in the App Store (and then the Google Play store).
The version 1.3 contains the following enhancements: •Ability to delete items from GN4 (Press and hold a item in the search results screen to be asked to delete) •Ability to detach items from Stories (Press and hold a item in the story details screen to be asked to detach) •Ability to configure the search screen to modify parameters displayed •Infinite scroll added to search results screen - no more paging. These changes allow for a more configurable application. The downside is that the search screen configuration requires an additional configuration file to be loaded into GN4, which out which search functionality will be significantly limited to only object types. You will need to load the configuration file ObjectUI_MobileAppSearch.xml into any GN4 system before the application is released to ensure that functionality is not inhibited. As it is not required until version 1.3 is installed, it can be loaded any time without issue.
