Folder and expiration (auto-delete)

You may want to enable auto-delete on specific folders that store content you want to delete automatically after some time. A typical example are wire folders.

In order for this to happen the content should reside in folders, assigned to the partition for which you enabled an expiration rule:

On the figure above, for all the folders assigned to the partDefault partition, we enabled the 30 days Spike - 7 days Purge expiration rule. This means that all the content in the folders assigned to that partition will be automatically deleted after 30 days and will be permanently deleted 5 days after.

Notes

You cannot set this attribute on an individual folder, but only through a partition.

As you can assign only one partition to a folder, as as you may need to differentiate some folders by various settings (quota, expiration rule, versioning rule, extend spike), you may need to create more partDefault partitions, with all the combinations of the four settings: that may require at least 24 partitions or more.
