Alerts handle auto-update in Ted4 on Fred4 on certain operations, e.g. on articles preview, status of editing ('in use') of items, status of production tracking etc.

Example

Open an article with WYSIWYG shown, open in Fred4 (also remote) the page containing the article, modify a frame and save.

Ted4 updates the preview automatically. Text geometry change for an article calls OnAlertTxtGeometry() in Article.vb.

Tracy4 is alerted for check-out / check-in operations. If the list contains the updated element, the check-out status is immediately displayed. This allows to Tracy users to know who is working on a particular object. Remember that is possible to select multiple pages from top-right list to monitor all the elements.
