TedExtra and TedExtraPlus are special working modes of Fred4. Use them to work with multimedia content, and limited classic paper page make-up (edit text on pages and crop images).

TedExtra is indeed a special work mode of Fred4, where users cannot modify the page layout, but can modify the text content, or crop images.

TedExtraPlus allows more layout functionalities, e.g. F6 to replace the existing library object with another one (of the same total area),

To activate TedExtra working mode for a group of users, enable Content edit only in EdAdmin4, Applications/Designers permissions:

The manual switch on of the Ted Extra Plus mode, either from the Tools menu or double clicking the Ted Extra label, is controlled by a user/group parameter useTedExtraPlus, to be set to true if the feature is required. Default is false. Global automatic switch on of the Plus mode is controlled by the Editorial Config/@TEPAutoEnter attribute
