You can select measurement units for the Measurement, Area/Image Colors, Rule & Dash, Rule Extra, Drop Shadow, Dynamic Engrave and Justification palettes independently of the applications defaults for the status bar. The change is per palette and user.

To change the palette measurement units

1.Right-click the palette's title bar zone while it's still docked in the sidebar, and then select Measures.

2.Select the measurement unit you want for the vertical and horizontal measures. Vertical units are used for Y positions and height of page objects. Horizontal units are used for X positions and width of page objects. It is recommended to set both vertical and horizontal units to the same unit. The [Use app.default] applies the units, selected in the application preferences.

3.Save the workspace to make the choice persistent between sessions.
