You can split a image placeholder (with or without caption) in more shapes.

Select one or more image placeholders, or a one or more placeholders and its captions and press key 1...9.

On the following screenshot there's the original image placeholder (on top), the same placeholder after hitting the key 2, and the same placeholder after hitting the key 3

If you select a placeholder and it's caption, it is split correctly - in more placeholders and caption frames.

Note

Placeholders won't work when placing images with clipping path.
