Select a title to work with

In version 1.4.1394.0 and newer

There's no need to select a title to work with, except to display a list of its editions.

You can open (in separate page tabs) pages belonging to different titles.

In version 1.4.1393.0 and older

The title selection is available only if there are more than one title (publication) defined in your editorial database. You can work on pages of only one title at a time. If your GN4 system contains only one title, you may skip this topic.

Close all pages, and then on the Edit menu, click Choose title.

Select the title you want to edit pages within.

On the first run of newly installed Fred4, you have to select the current title. The selected title is stored in your personal preferences, and it will be default on next run of Fred4.

You can change the current title without opening the title dialog box. Use the command SetCurrentTitleId command for that purpose. The title change is not persistent. After closed, Fred4 will restart on the dialog selected title.
