This page view shows page grid, margin box, text frames borders, and the article links markers, but also the type labels on frames and photos, and format labels on frames. It does not show modules (baseline grid), links and paragraph grid. Such view is useful to review the types and formats for each element. Please notice:

Format labels display only first 10 characters of format name.

There are no format label on empty unlinked frames, even though a format is assigned to them. The format label appears only when you add some text to the frame.

The format labels on frames which belong to the current article are blue, and letters on them are white; but they are grey and letters are black on frames which are not linked to the current article.

The images do not have format labels.

To achieve such view on the current page

On the View menu, ensure that Guides, Column, Frames, Images, Formats and Types are selected, while Module, and Text Information are not selected.

To make such view as your default view

On the Edit menu, click Preferences, and then on the Display tab, select Draw images, Draw type label, Draw format label, and Draw text frames, and deselect Draw text information.
