It is not possible to override master objects, except by workaround, e.g. on a page layer, cover a master item with a colored update and then, on the layer, draw or write something else.

To edit master objects, open and edit the master page: the changes will be applied on all pages which share that master.

If you need to hide master items on a page, create a master without such items and then apply it.
