You can display the dateline data on page layers only as a plain, fixed text, without variables. The variables and tag scripts work only on master pages.

As only workaround, a custom script can take the dateline data and paste it in a frame on the page layer, but the data will go out of sync if the users renumber pages.

Find an example of such script to replace some variables in page.vb, as ReplaceTagScriptVars. Call it after you pasted one frame with tag scripts and variables to a page. Note: to call the script, you must not be in text editing.
