Insert a break

Click where you want to insert paragraph break, and then press 8.

Join paragraphs

For the sake of this explanation, the paragraph A is above the paragraph B. Click the beginning of paragraph B and then press BACKSPACE or click at the end of the paragraph A and then press DELETE.

Insert characters from map

Display character map (in Windows, run charmap), select a character and copy it to the clipboard. Paste it in text.

Insert curly and other quotes

I4 inserts the curly quotes if the appropriate plug-in is installed.

Insert blank lines in text

Press 8 to create a blank line.

Insert spaces in text

Press the SPACEBAR.
