1.Open a source edition on the Editions main tab in Fred4, and then open also a target edition.
2.In the source edition, on the list of masters, select a master to duplicate, and then press CTRL+C.
3.Switch to the target edition tab, select any master, and then press CTRL+V. The new master in the target is created with the same name as in the source edition.
4.Use the Master data palette to change the master name, write an optional description, select the type (generic, automatic left, automatic right, automatic double), as well as format for local texts.
5.Use the Geometry data palette, to select a preset (if any suitable), or to select User defined, and then to specify all layout data.
By drag and drop (2.4 or newer)
1.Open a source edition on the Editions main tab in Fred4, and then open also a target edition.
2.In the source edition, on the list of masters, clicl a master to duplicate, and then drag it onto the target edition list.
3.Use the Master data palette to change the master name, write an optional description, select the type (generic, automatic left, automatic right, automatic double), as well as format for local texts.
4.Use the Geometry data palette, to select a preset (if any suitable), or to select User defined, and then to specify all layout data.
