In a listing, or on page, or on an article tree, right-click the an item and then select Properties.

This displays the properties of the selected object. The list of properties is object-sensitive. Depending on the script that gets called, the properties can be read-only or read-write (default).

The list of properties is defined in the ObjectUIs sections of the configuration files SHELL4_CONFIG.XML, TED4_CONFIG.XML, FRED4_CONFIG.XML, EDADMIN4_CONFIG.XML, ADMIN4_CONFIG.XML.

About multi-using of properties

While an user edits or reviews properties, other users cannot review them - they have to wait that the first user closes the properties dialog and then retry.

About selecting text fields content in the read-only properties

Since build 2252 in the version 2.0 or newer, it is possible to select and copy the text fields content even if the Properties dialogs was opened read-only. Before that build, it was not possible to perform the selection and copy it.
