In the standard configuration of GN4, Fred4 is an independent application with the same purpose as GN3 Fred, but it combines also the functionalities of GN3 Edt and GN3 Tracy.

More precisely, GN3 Fred corresponds to the Pages main tab in Fred4. This means that you can find the functionalities of GN3 Fred on the Pages main tab in Fred4. Moreover, Fred4 incorporates all the GN3 Shell functionalities (on the Shell main tab).

This chapter leads you through all the standard menu commands of GN3 Fred and explains where are those functionalities on the GN4 Pages main tabs.

Note: this chapter does not describe the new features, offered by GN4. Here we concentrate on helping experienced GN3 users to find, in GN4, commands they were used to in GN3.
